Facing the Challenges

God blessed our efforts this summer. Doors stayed wide open as we pressed forward with our summer ministries. We had five very successful 5-Day Clubs. One of them was in Moorcroft, where we have never had a club before. We had five children attend that club.
Two of those children were a brother and a sister. One of my teens saw them playing at the playground with their mom, and she took the initiative to invite them to join us. Their mom stated, “I don’t do the God thing, but my kids love learning about Him,” but gave her permission.
That same day, they both responded to the invitation to accept Christ. The sister said she knew who Jesus was, but now she was ready to receive Him as her Savior. Her brother stated that he had heard about God, but he didn’t understand what Jesus had done for him until he sat through the Bible lesson.
This club, combined with our Sundance club, opened even more doors for expanding into that section of our Northeast area. Our first ever Good News Club® was started in Sundance, WY this fall, with a team of 2 adults and 8 teens!
Our Coffeen club in Sheridan is still going strong as well. We have had up to seven children in attendance this year, and we added a new team member from Prairie Dog Community Church. We are following all the rules in place to assure that we can continue to meet with the children every Friday.
Our JYC™ is a lot smaller this year, with only two of our regular girls attending. Yet, we are loving our meetings, and we are learning about how to be true followers of Jesus in our lessons. The next series we are starting will continue with that topic, as we learn to put on the full armor of God every day,
God works all things out in His timing, and He had already prepared these lessons knowing these will be essential to the year that we are having. We praise Him for all He is doing!
